This week’s agenda: primaries, White House on the oil spill, celebrating ‘Let It Be’, Betty White on ‘SNL’

The World

We take a look at what’s ahead this week, with Marcus Mabry, associate national editor of The New York Times, and Derrick Ashong, host of “The Derrick Ashong Experience” on Sirius XM’s Oprah Radio.

Indiana, Ohio and North Carolina hold primary elections this week, which may test the influence of each party’s establishment on the local level. Meanwhile the federal government will be occupied with addressing the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico and working with law enforcement in New York to investigate the attempted car bombing in Times Square this past weekend. And on Friday, new unemployment numbers are released. Betty White will host SNL and Beatles’ fans around the world will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the iconic band’s last album, “Let It Be.”
