Mangoes from Pakistan

The World

The Geo quiz takes us to the ‘City of Sufis’ in Pakistan, close to the center of the country, in the province of Punjab. It’s both an ancient city and a prosperous commercial one. And, it’s an agricultural center, with a delicious export — mangoes!

The first shipment of these mangoes reached the US last weekend from Multan, our answer this time.

Those mangoes were served up at a ball in Chicago, hosted by Pakistan’s ambassador to the US, Husain Haqqani. Monica Eng is a food reporter at The Chicago Tribune. She says the Pakistani mango is truly something special.
