Indian Government Puts FDI in Retail Decision On Hold

The Indian government suspended its plan to allow retail giants like Wal-Mart to operate in India.

The plan, announced just two weeks ago, would have allowed foreign companies to own up to 51 percent of local retail share. But fierce opposition has now forced the government to put it on hold.
