The Geo Quiz begins in the Norwegian city of Bergen. The composer Edvard Grieg was born there and walked its narrow streets.
Bergen also bills itself as The Gateway to the Fjords.
Those fjords and Grieg’s music are a couple of reasons Bergen earned a spot on UNESCO’s World Heritage List.
But what we are looking for today is not on land.
Say you got in a helicopter and flew due west from Bergen, over the deep fjords and sheer cliffs along Norway’s coast. Pretty soon you would be out over the water and we want you to name that body of water.
The sea in question also border Britain, Holland and Denmark to name a few and has long been the site of important European shipping lanes as well as a major fishery.

It is home to large deposits of high quality crude and there are plenty of offshore oil rigs to take advantage of that.
