Bidders at a federal auction last Friday snapped up oil and gas leases in Utah’s red-rock country, despite a legal challenge that ultimately could prevent drilling. Last week environmental organizations took legal action to temporarily prevent the Bureau of Land Management from issuing drilling leases.
