India plays host this year to the Commonwealth Games, a competition for members of the former British empire. So far, it’s not going well. Reports of unsanitary conditions, an outbreak of dengue fever, a caved-in stadium ceiling, and more have caused athletes from around the world to pull out of the Games just days before they get under way.
