With Miami Consulate Closed Venezuelan Ex-Pats Head to New Orleans to Vote

Miami is home to the biggest Venezuelan ex-pat community anywhere. And many there oppose President Hugo Chavez.

But the Chavez government shut down its consulate there a few months ago.

So, Venezuelans in Miami who want to vote in their country’s election this weekend must travel to New Orleans to do so.
