Ten years ago today, two al-Qaeda operatives steered a small boat alongside the USS Cole � an American naval destroyer that was refueling in the port of Aden, Yemen. The suicide attackers detonated a bomb that tore through the ship’s hull. Seventeen American sailors were killed and dozens more were seriously wounded. Jordana Gustafson has the story.
