Boubacar Traoré was Mali’s first pop music star.
He was the first in Mali to score some big-selling radio hits.
This was in the early 60s.
Traoré, also known as “Kar Kar” in Mali visited our studios recently and played one of his first hits, a tune called “Mali Twist.”
