The Georgian President ensured that he’d press NATO to open its doors to Georgia. This Georgian official says his country’s participation in Iraq demonstrates its readiness to join NATO. Georgia has been a part of the invasion of Iraq and the war since. Georgia’s presence there has been growing since then. This analyst thinks the Georgian military has learned a lot in Iraq.
