Today’s Geo Quiz is in earth orbit. Earth orbit is where you’ll find the International Space Station.
The station’s crew has been working with the crew of the space shuttle Endeavour. They installed the first part of a new Japanese space lab recently. The astronauts also assembled a robot that’ll be used to handle future components delivered to the space station.
The robot’s called the Special Purpose Dexterous Manipulator – or Dextre for short. Question is… what country is Dextre from?
DextreDextre
The shuttle — by the way — is getting ready for re-entry. Today, as Endeavour pulled away, the crew of the space station rang a bell to mark its departure. It’s a naval tradition that’s found a home in space.
So — where is “Dextre the robot” from?
