Rob Ford, the mayor of Toronto, has been ordered out of office. Ford, who has courted controversy since his election in 2010, was found by a judge to have flouted conflict of interest rules.
The case stems from Ford’s refusal to repay funds that he solicited for his high school football team when he was a city councilman.
The ruling is set to take effect in two weeks. For his part, Ford blamed “left wing politics,” and said he would appeal to ruling.
