A huge sandstorm that originated over the Sahara Desert is traveling on the wind across the Atlantic Ocean toward the Caribbean. Jason Dunion, a hurricane investigator with Atlantic Oceanographic Meteorological Laboratory of NOAA, says sandstorms are interesting weather phenomenon that impact hurricane formation and create spectacular sunsets.
