French shoe designer Christian Louboutin prides himself on creating high heels that are not just uncomfortable, but downright painful.
Yet, his heels are in high demand.
Louboutin is celebrating 20 years in business and Tuesday a sampling of some of his high heels went on display at The Design Museum in London.
Louboutin’s interest in high heels began as a teenager, hanging out in Paris music halls where he would admire the pretty confections on the dancers’ feet.
The BBC’s Rebecca Jones spoke to Louboutin.
