UN Hezbollah indictments may destabilize Lebanon

In 2005, former Lebanon Prime Minister Rafik Hariri was killed in a bombing along Beirut’s seafront. Some suspected Syrian agents, militant group Hezbollah, or both. A United Nations-backed court has been investigating the incident, and may now hand out indictments of Hezbollah members. In response, the group ? which has a strong presence in the country ? has threatened to withdraw from the government, threatening a collapse.
