Some see Iran’s influence on upcoming Iraq elections

Iraq’s elections, scheduled for March 7, have already led to a spike in violent attacks throughout the country. Now, in Washington, there’s concern that Iran is attempting to influence those elections.

The BBC’s Gabriel Gatehouse just returned from Iraq, where he was embedded with U.S. troops on the Iraq/Iran border. Gatehouse spoke to U.S. military officials who say Iran is attempting to send weapons over its border into Iraq and to influence some candidates in the upcoming election.
