Obama’s foreign fans
In this YouTube video with a classic Italian backdrop, a bunch of Italians sing about their support for Obama. Italians are getting in the swim of the U.S. elections and helping to get out the vote. This Italian man says he’s never even been this active of Italian politics but Obama’s message of unity and peace spoke to him. In most of Europe, the democratic candidate is heavily preferred. This foreign Obama campaigner believes the Bush administration has trampled civil liberties and conducted wars that wasted money which would be better used in places like Africa. He believes Obama would look beyond the U.S. if he were elected president. Not everyone is giving the American thumbs-up to these campaigners. This analyst says they don’t make a difference and can’t grasp the value of American domestic issues�they just think Obama is cool. Meanwhile, McCain isn’t getting much love.
