Economic Crisis Spreading to Italy

The debt crisis that’s gripping the small economies of Greece, Ireland, and Portugal could be spreading to Italy. Italian government bonds and stocks fell sharply Monday. That continued their plunge from Friday. German Chancellor Angela Merkel said that Italy needs to send an important signal by approving an austerity budget.
