BBC producer Paul Danahar reported under cover from Myanmar in the days following Cyclone Nargis, all the while trying to avoid detection and arrest. He was eventually tracked down by the military authorities and deported. He was
then sent to report on the devastating earthquake in China. He tells The Takeaway about his own experience and contrasts the two nations’ responses to the citizens’ needs.
