Despite the optimistic outlook that the urgent need to rebuild after Hurricane Sandy will result in the creation of jobs, small businesses in New York have taken a huge hit.  Storefronts and bars were flooded, restaurant equipment destroyed, and many business owners remain in the dark about whether or not they will even be able to reopen.
