Russia and the U.S. election

(The topic of Russia has emerged in the presidential campaigns primarily in a negative light. Has that fact been noticed in Russia?) Surely, this is something that caught a lot of attention here and many people believe the harsh statements are just an inevitable part of campaigning but when either one of them would actually be president, that that rhetoric would be softened. (How do Russians look on this election?) I’m not aware of any polls conducted on Russian opinion. Both candidates have similar positions and policies towards Russia, so I’m not expecting a huge majority tending towards one or another. Right now, I’d say Russians would be split 50-50. (How confident do you feel the Russian business community is in the leadership of the Russian government and their ability to manage relations with Washington?) Until recently, the Russian economy was developing extremely well. The business community is now pretty nervous so their attitudes towards our government might be changing.
