Iraq War veterans on accomplishment

The World

The combat mission in Iraq officially ends today, but the question about what we’ve accomplished there will remain for years. We hear from veterans of the war, and ask them what they felt they personally accomplished there.

John Jones, Staff Sergeant, with the first battalion 7th Marines, who served twice in Iraq and lost both his legs, says that he accomplished a lot in Iraq, including helping to take down a top target there. Naveed Ali Shah, served as a specialist in the Army. He says his unit helped Iraqi forces build a command post allowing Iraqis could take over security.
