
As the Presidential Election comes to a close, The World’s Alex Gallafent says goodbye to some of the campaign’s unofficial songs from around the world.
Both those unofficial booster campaign songs originated here in the States, but there were many songs beyond these shores. Spare a thought for these Japanese would-be voters and their song �Obama is Beautiful World.� [Song clip]. Perhaps singing about Obama has been popular because his name sounds so awesome when set to music. [Another music clip]. The election has also been fodder for international music stars, such as this calypso star from Trinidad, who wrote �Barack the Magnificent.� But what of McCain-Palin songs? It’s been thin pickings for McCain songs. Here’s one song from a Russian duo which has a soft touch for Palin even though it’s not necessarily endorsing her and McCain. [Song clip].
