A general who burned bridges is back

President-elect Barack Obama’s pick to head the Department of Veterans Affairs is retired Army Gen. Eric K. Shinseki, a career military officer best known for burning bridges with the Bush administration by questioning the Pentagon’s Iraq war strategy.
