Defiant Gadhafi Tells Libyans to Free Tripoli

The Takeaway

The day after rebels in Tripoli overran his fortified compound, an unrelenting Col. Moammar Gadhafi called on his remaining supporters to continue to fight in a radio address. Gadhafi vowed either “martyrdom or victory” in his fight against the rebels and NATO. The pillaging of Gadhafi’s Bab al-Aziziya compound brought an effective end to his 42 years of rule, though neither the compound or Tripoli is fully under rebel control. Rana Jawad, correspondent for the BBC, reports on the latest from Tripoli.
