Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart back together?

After two months apart, Robert Pattinson has met up with his ex-girlfriend Kristen Stewart.

According to People magazine, who originally published photographs of Stewart, 22, in a passionate embrace with married director, Rupert Sanders, the Twilight stars met up in Los Angeles over the weekend.

An insider told the magazine, Pattinson's friends "think they'll be a couple again."

A source told US Weekly Pattinson, 26, finally relented to meeting, and the couple have been meeting regularly.

"They're working it out," the source said. "He's still in love with her."

In July, Stewart and Sanders, 41, both admitted to their infidelities, issuing public apologies to their respective partners.

Earlier this week, British newspaper, The Sun, reported that Pattinson appears to be slowly forgiving his ex girlfriend and "after a lot of long tearful talks, they've worked it out".

"Rob sees it as Kristen made a really stupid mistake," a source told the tabloid. 

The New York Daily News said that while neither has directly addressed the current status of their relationship, but Stewart recently made a brief comment about it at the Toronto Film Festival.

"We're going to be fine," she told the Associated Press.

The question remains – will the pair have officially reconciled by the time they are due to promote the last installment of the "Twilight" saga this fall?
