Montana man dressed in Ghille suit to resemble Bigfoot killed by cars

A Montana man dressed in a camouflage suit hoping to be taken for Bigfoot was struck by two cars and killed.

Randy Lee Tenley, 44, was wearing a military-type "Ghille" suit and standing along US 93 near Kalispell as the light was fading when he was struck, the Daily Interlake reported.

He was hit a second time by another car as he lay in the highway.

Ghille suits resemble heavy foliage and used to camouflage military snipers, The Associated Press reported.

"He was trying to make people think he was sasquatch so people would call in a Sasquatch sighting,” Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Jim Schneider reportedly said.

"You can’t make it up. I haven’t seen or heard of anything like this before. Obviously, his suit made it difficult for people to see him."

According to NBCMontana.com, the first car to hit Tenley was driven by a 15-year-old girl and the third by a 17-year old girl.

Friends had told police Tenley hoped someone would mistake him for a sasquatch, and report a sighting.

Alcohol may have been involved in the plan, said investigators.
