Toronto Mayor Rob Ford may have offered $5,000 and a car in return for a video showing him smoking crack, court documents and wiretap evidence released Wednesday showed.

News outlets revealed new details about Ford after winning a case to release nearly 500 pages of police evidence.

While Ford hasn’t been charged, and his voice isn’t heard in the wiretap evidence, police continue to investigate the mayor, the Globe and Mail newspaper reported.

Ford’s name came up often as police monitored phone conversations of alleged members of a Toronto gang called the Dixon City Bloods.

In April, police intercepted a phone call from a suspected crack house.

A woman inside the home called a 22-year-old suspected drug dealer named Liban Siyad shortly after midnight on April 20.

She said Ford was at the house, and asked Siyad to bring the mayor drugs, the Globe said.

Police suspect Ford’s phone was stolen at the crack house, and that he threatened to “put heat on Dixon” if it wasn’t returned, CTV News reported.

Weeks after Ford appeared there, the video showing him smoking crack cocaine surfaced on Gawker and the Toronto Star.

Police trailed 59 suspects for about a year in what was dubbed Project Traveller, eventually making several arrests, among them Liban Siyad.

Also included in the wiretap evidence is a conversation between Siyadin Abdi and Mohamed Siad, according to CTV. They scoff at Ford’s offer.

“Five thousand and a car,” Abdi said. “What the f— is that?”

Mohamed Siad responds, saying he will “meet with him and ask for ‘150,’” or $150,000.

In other conversations, suspected drug dealer Abdullahi Harun tells Siyad that he has “so much pictures” of Ford shooting heroin, CBC News said.

While police haven’t charged Ford, they have accused his former driver with drug trafficking, possession and conspiracy. Alexander (Sandro) Lisi, a longtime friend of the mayor, also faces an October extortion charge in connection to the video case.

Ford eventually admitted to smoking crack cocaine “in a drunken stupor,” and subsequently had most of his authorities, staff and budget stripped by Toronto city council.

His popularity hasn't waned, however. On Thursday, he’s to deliver NFL picks for 106.7 The Fan radio in Washington, DC.

“The Sports Junkies” suggested if the appearance went well, more could be planned for the future.
