Global Nation Education’s #DroppingIn series is taking a look at the the high rate of drop outs among immigrant students in the United States and the challenges that lead many to make the difficult choice to leave school.

According to Child Trends, while foreign-born youth are only 10 percent of the population in their age group (ages 16-24), they represent 18 percent of the students who drop out.
