Hey, the end of the world is today — at least according to the Vikings

It's the end of the world as the Vikings know it.
But don't worry, we're probably fine.
The Viking apocalypse, known as Ragnarok, is said to be coming Saturday if Norse mythology is to be believed.
According to legend, the old gods will fall after an epic battle. The Earth will burn and fall into the sea and life as we know it will cease to exist.
But it's not all bad.
The world will then be reborn and two lucky human survivors will be responsible for re-populating the planet.
Believers are converging upon the United Kingdom this weekend for a festival called Jorvik to celebrate the legend.
“Ragnarok is the ultimate landmark in Viking mythology, when the gods fall and die, so this really is an event that should not be underestimated,” festival director Danielle Daglan said.
According to the Jorvik Viking Centre, an ancient horn was heard in York on Nov. 15 last year — signaling the beginning of the end.
