You might know that Mumbai is home to India’s mighty Bollywood film industry.

But did you also know that India’s richest and largest city has one of the highest drinking ages in the world for alcoholic spirits, at 25 years old?

This hasn’t stopped Mumbai, previously known as Bombay, from becoming a party central with lots of glitzy nightclubs and trendy bars.

Like bothered neighbors, the authorities in Mumbai are getting frustrated with the wild nightlife.

The BBC’s Rajini Vaidyanathan reports on the recent police crackdown of nightlife in Mumbai, and the reaction it has provoked.
