German newspapers are calling it one of the most spectacular espionage trials since the end of the Cold War. A married couple identified only by their code names “Andreas Anschlag” and “Heidrun Anschlag” are accused of spying on NATO and the EU for decades.
When Heidrun was arrested, she was tapping out a coded radio message to Russia.
