Greenpeace Activists Scale the Shard to Protest Shell Oil’s Drilling in the Arctic

The World

A group of women slipped past security on Thursday to climb Western Europe's tallest building, the Shard in London.

The six women are activists with Greenpeace, and they made the climb to protest Shell Oil's drilling in the Arctic.

The Shard is located near the UK headquarters of Shell Oil, and after summiting the Shard they unfurled a banner they call "a flag for humanity."

While the activists were around the 3/4 mark, anchor Marco Werman discussed what it's like to scale a building with Steph Davis, a climber and author of "High Infatuation: A Climber's Guide to Love and Gravity."
