There’s no doubt that Guantanamo Bay has negatively affected the US’s image across the world. The President of the Pew Research Center says it’s led to a lack of support for the US led war on terrorism. The latest Pew Global Attitudes Survey shows an uptake in attitudes towards the US, the President says. But lost of places in the world still have a mixed image of the US, and in some placesJapan, Mexico, and the Muslim Worldthe image of the US dropped. Also touched on in the survey is perception of the US’s role in global environmental causes and economic issues.
