The World

This restaurant is a popular eatery and it attracts all types. This man is from the border area with Afghanistan where Al Qaeda and the Taliban find refuge. He thinks Obama could bring change to Washington. But his enthusiasm is tempered because he’s not sure Obama will be good for Pakistan. Another customer isn’t as ambivalent. He says even if there is a Muslim president in America, it won’t change foreign policy towards the Muslim World. At this university, students had mixed feelings about the chances that Obama could make a real difference in American foreign policy. It’s not hard to understand that skepticism because of all the violence and unrest in the country.
