North Korean leader’s birthday offers rare glimpse behind curtain

The World

He is well known for keeping his country and citizens isolated from the outside world, and now, with rumors of his failing health, North Korea watchers are keenly focused on the future of this extremely secretive, and isolated regime.

The BBC’s Paul Danahar joins us after a recent trip to the capital city of Pyongyang, where he met with North Korean students who are being groomed as the next generation of party faithfuls and possible leaders. He offers us a rare glimpse behind the curtain of secrecy.
