The World

Today’s Geo Quiz features musical geography. You’ve probably heard of Louis Armstrong airport – that’s in New Orleans.

But you might not be familiar with Mozart.

It’s a town in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan.

You’ll recognise WAGNER’s Ring. But what about the Schubertring? It’s in Vienna, Austria.

And it’s a circular ROAD.

Further afield, FAR further afield, there’s Asteroid 3-9-7-5 Verdi – named after the Italian composer.

Back on earth, we’ve got Musica Mountain in Macedonia.

..Sound Island in India.

And a village in Iran called Band.

But we’re looking for a SOLO.

A PLACE called Solo.

It’s home to about half a million people.

And – to help you out – Solo is the name the locals use.

The city’s formal title is Surakarta.
