Perry grew up on a ranch in the small town of Paint Creek, Texas. Since 1952, four men from Texas have become president. Does hailing from the state give political candidates an advantage? Or is running against an incumbent during uncertain times the advantage? Our host, John Hockenberry, ponders these points and other factors that have historically brought success for presidential candidates.
