Cub reporter tackles childhood obesity

The World

First Lady Michelle Obama launched a nationwide campaign to fight childhood obesity this week. Major news outlets assigned reporters to cover the story, but 11-year-old Jonas Hosmer was probably the youngest of the bunch. Jonas is part of the Scholastic Kids Press Corps, which encourages youngsters to report news for other children to read.

Jonas Hosmer’s report on the “Let’s Move” campaign to beat childhood obesity is the lead story today on the Scholastic site. He brings us an exclusive preview.
