Cartoonist Critical of Syrian Regime Assaulted

Prominent Syrian cartoonist Ali Ferzat was beaten Thursday by masked gunmen in Damascus. In recent months, as the government cracked-down on protesters, Ferzat’s cartoons had been especially critical of the Assad regime.
