Assignment: your picture or sound of the year

The World

There’s only a few weeks left before the end of 2010 year, and we’re asking you, our listeners, to tell us what stood out the most to you this year. So far we’ve received videos, photos and phone calls, creating a growing spectrum of thoughts on the year from all of you.

Listener Lori Wood from Crest Lake, New Jersey, called in with this missive:

My year was marked by the death of my parents. My mother was diagnosed with lung cancer in January and died in March. She was seventy six years old. My father could not bear to live with out her and stop going to dialysis 3 weeks later he died. They were married for 57 years. I missed her more than I ever expected.?

Justin from Colorado had this memory to offer:

?My name is Justin and I am from Colorado and my highlight of the year is when my band Zen Mustache played to a sold out crowd to 1500 people ? We were able to also play live on air to a local radio station to promote the event. It was just a really awesome event and a great way to sum a year of hard work and dedication.?
