She trained and worked as a social scientist and now explores people's experiences through audio storytelling. She produces and edits podcasts on immigrant life for Feet in 2 Worlds and has contributed to the Community Oral History Project at the New York Public Library.

A new initiative in New York City is bringing free meals to hospitals and health facilities heavily staffed by Filipinos — while also raising funds to help keep community restaurants afloat.
