The invasive Asian Carp has made itself at home in Midwestern Rivers and officials there are struggling to keep the fish out of the Great Lakes. One local company has come up with a novel idea to control carp numbers; ship them back to China as food.
The Great Lakes are threatened by carp and the proposed solution is to cut the connection between Lake Michigan and the Mississippi River basin. President Obama has agreed to conduct a study, but waiting too long for a solution may be detrimental.
