India to build space shuttle

GlobalPost

Close on the heels of the last flight of America's storied space shuttle, India said it will soon launch its own reusable space craft, NDTV reports.

Apparently, the shuttlecraft is currently being held in a secret location in Kerala.  Let's hope that it doesn't go the way of the $35 laptop, and when the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) unveils it, it doesn't turn out to be a plain old rocket.

But if the Indian shuttle does come to fruition, it could well mean that the US move to hitch a ride on India's recent moon probe was just the first of many such journeys.
