NEW DELHI — U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton visited India for the second strategic dialogue session with senior Indian officials in New Delhi and Chennai.

Talks focused on counterterrorism, which is high on the agenda following the recent Mumbai blasts. Clinton talked about bringing the perpetrators of the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks to justice, according to the Indian Express. Trade and economic cooperation, India’s role in Afghanistan and the U.S.-India nuclear deal also featured on the agenda.

Clinton's visit to Chennai is important as the southern port city is a big hub for U.S. investment. She is scheduled to visit a Ford car factory, according to the BBC

Clinton is on the third leg of a 12-day, around-the-world diplomatic tour that has already taken her to Turkey and Greece. After India, she will visit Indonesia, Hong Kong and southern mainland China before returning to the United States on July 25, reports the Washington Post.
