Venus, Steve Jobs’ yacht, unveiled in the Netherlands (VIDEO)
The yacht ordered by Apple’s late founder Steve Jobs remains docked at the De Vries shipyard in Aalsmeer, the Netherlands, on October 29, 2012. The recently launched luxurious yacht named ‘Venus’ was envisioned by French designer Philippe Starck and built by Feadship, a Dutch shipbuilder.
Venus, Steve Jobs' 250-foot yacht, has finally been revealed in the Netherlands.
The photos and videos of the boat were first released by Dutch blog One More Thing, and show the details of the meticulously-designed boat that Jobs' commissioned six years ago and designed with the help of minimalist designer Philippe Starck, ABC News reported.
The vessel, named after the Roman goddess of love, beauty, sex, fertility, prosperity and victory, features teak deck, floor-to-ceiling glass, and, of course, seven 27-inch iMacs on board, Mashable reported.

In the biography of Jobs' life by Walter Isaacson, the Apple CEO acknowledged that he may not live to see Venus through to completion.
“I know that it’s possible I will die and leave Laurene (his wife) with a half-built boat. But I have to keep going on it. If I don’t, it’s an admission that I’m about to die," Jobs reportedly said.
The Jobs family gifted the crew that worked on the boat with iPod shuffles with the name of the ship inscribed on the back, CNN reported.
