Indian “love cop” suspended for harassing couples

GlobalPost

India's latest love cop has been suspended.

According to the BBC, authorities in Uttar Pradesh have pulled up Alka Pandey for harassing couples making out in public places.  Her tactics?  Pandey and her team forced boys to do sit-ups in an attempt to "save innocent girls being trapped by boys with evil motives," the news channel said.

Experience from my teenage years tells me sit-ups are especially difficult to perform under those particular circumstances.

Apparently, there's TV footage floating around from local news channels, but we're getting no love from the Beeb on that score.
