Anger persists among Palestinians after death of Arafat Jaradat, a prisoner in an Israeli jail

With Palestinian groups blaming Arafat Jaradat's death in an Israeli prison on torture, tensions in the West Bank are mounting. Thousands of people took to the streets of the West Bank on Monday during Jaradat's funeral.

On Tuesday, the military wing of the Palestinians' ruling Fatah party claimed responsibility for a rocket fired from the Gaza Strip that landed near the city of Ashkelon in southern Israel, the first breach of a cease-fire since the last Gaza conflict in the fall.
