Pakistan held its landmark elections Saturday, heralded as the nuclear-armed country's first democratic handover of power in 66 years.
The day had its share of frustrations and fear: polling stations opened late or not at all, there was voter intimidation and allegations of rigging, and isolated bombings and violence throughout the country left at least 13 people dead.
But early this morning, Pakistan had a likely leader: Nawaz Sharif, the leader of the Pakistan Muslim League N.
