Conditions of protests in Syria are difficult to verify, since the country has barred journalists from entering, but reports are emerging that regime-change protests are intensifying. Hamzah Al-Khatib, the 13-year-old Syrian boy recently killed on video, may serve as a martyr for the cause. You can watch the video (Warning: Graphic images) on YouTube. Ian Black, Middle East Editor for The Guardian, and Marina Ottoway, director of Middle East program at the Carnegie Endowment for Peace, talk about the situation with The Takeaway.
